NELA is a long term player having been in business since 1938 in Europe and 2000 in the US. NELA USA is here to stay as proven by the purchase of its own US manufacturing building in River Falls, WI.
NELA is not only a system integrator but a custom machine builder. We are vision experts. NELA has the engineering expertise to manage complex projects that may include inline vision inspection, vision inspection with automated component assembly, plus flexible stand alone systems.
NELA has at its core, vision technology and the practical application of that technology for the inspection of elastomeric parts and takes responsibility for the entire system. Taking responsibility for the application of that core technology is unlike Cognex and other camera manufacturers, who develop a basic software platform for universal applications, sell the hardware and then let third parties take the responsibility for the specialty programming and machine design.
NELA Vision Systems has an in-depth understanding of complex surface inspection requirements which the camera manufacturers are only now beginning to explore. Software, hardware and lighting are fully integrated into a functional vision inspection system. NELA does more than read bar codes and calculate dimensions.
A critical component of each NELA system is a defect catalog providing the end user with a firm commitment to the performance of the system while also maintaining flexibility for new applications whenever possible.
NELA is large enough to provide world class leading edge technology, but small enough to provide personalized, tailored, products and services.
NELA provides access to local service technicians trained to service the systems and to assist in development of new applications. We provide telephone and online support of the product.
Why does NELA have a large market share in the markets they serve? Because of the commitment to customer service. Ask our customers. We can provide references if needed.
NELA is committed to the vision system market and is increasing its workforce dedicated to vision systems with the addition of programmers and software engineers in River Falls and at the Lahr, Germany, technical center. The technical center in Germany also provides ongoing research in the application of vision technology for inspection of elastomeric parts.
